Community Development

Helping your community celebrate life

Erickson campuses have earned a reputation for being good neighbors, giving back to their greater communities though charitable donations, corporate sponsorships, employee volunteer programs, resident volunteerism, scholarship programs for local college-bound students, and team participation in fundraising events to support local chapters of national organizations.

Community leaders quickly become enthusiastic supporters when they see the positive impact an Erickson-developed community could have in their town. Erickson communities are the best neighbors. We have specialists on staff who fully understand citizen concerns and who guide development of each campus to mitigate these concerns.

Then Erickson’s professional planners work with members of the community to design a campus that will bring much-needed services while minimizing the effect on the area’s traffic, aesthetics, environment, character, and culture.

Erickson Shares Week
Sharing our gifts with your community
Erickson Shares Week is one of many ways Erickson helps its employees give back—by giving us the time to do it. For one week every year, we have the opportunity to volunteer during work hours for projects that benefit the greater community, from cleaning up streams and animal shelters to building houses and stocking food banks.

And this benefit isn’t limited to Erickson Shares Week. Each month, employees can spend up to four work hours on volunteering.

In 2008, more than 170 staffers from 35 corporate departments participated in Erickson Shares Week. Watch the video above to see our volunteers in action!
